Those of us who work with the wheel of Nature know that there are thirteen moons within the full turning of the seasons. Therefore thirteen is a powerful and magical number.
Friday is named after the Scandinavian goddess of Love – Freya. She sailed through the skies on a chariot driven by two cats.
So Friday the thirteenth is not an unlucky day, as we have been led to believe. It is absolutely the opposite – a day for taking chances, living dreams and being open to wonders!
That is what I will be asking for this year on Friday September 13th, when I will be walking on a bed of hot coals in order to raise funds and awareness to help abandoned and mistreated animals.
Raystede Centre for Animal Welfare in Ringmer, East Sussex does a wonderful job in taking care of all unfortunate animals, domestic and wild; abandoned and lost; neglected and ill-treated.
I need to raise at least £100, so PLEASE sponsor me for this. Whatever you can afford to donate, however small an amount, will be truly appreciated.
The walk will be recorded, so you will be able to watch the panic on my face, and my feet smouldering! Must get a pedicure before the day……
I am doing it too, and we will be fine ….as Mia said – Empowered ! Xx
