To all you wonderful women – HAPPY INTERNATIONAL WOMENS’ DAY!!!!
WE ARE MAGNIFICENT!!!
Really looking forward to facilitating the first workshop in Celtic Earth Magic on Sunday 17th March. I will be asking the Spirits of Nature to give us a windless day for listening to the messages from the trees.
On 30th March I am going to be shooting a film to put on my website, and Youtube.
It will briefly cover some of the content of the Celtic Earth Magic workshops and courses.
I have been strongly guided to shoot it in Kingley Vale, near Chichester, West Sussex, one of the largest and oldest Yew tree forests in the world.
Filming date is 30th March, which is unfortunately Easter Saturday. However, I am inviting volunteers to come along and help be part of a “student group” in order to demonstrate such things as tuning into trees, dowsing for Nature Spirits, creating a circle for ceremony, healing, using ancient rune symbols for divination (don’t worry, you don’t have to learn anything, it is only a demo!) etc.
If anyone would like to help me out I would be very grateful. It will take less than half a day, and should be quite good fun. You won’t be interviewed (unless you want to be), and it will mean spending time in this most evocative of ancient woodlands, which is a healing experience in itself.
Please contact me if interested. I don’t know times yet, so for anyone who wants to come along I will give further details and directions.
Many thanks xx
I went to visit a modern Roman Catholic church the other day in order to see their magnificent ceiling, which is a replica of the ceiling in the Sistine Chapel, Rome.
The Sistine Chapel was famously painted by Michelangelo between 1508-1512. The one I visited on Thursday was reproduced by local artist Gary Bevans between 1988-1994.
The Sistine Chapel is a totally different shape and height to The Church of the English Martyrs in Goring-by-Sea, West Sussex, but Gary was trained as a sign-writer, and the proportions are amazing.
One of the most interesting things for me was the fact that there is a very old barn next door to the church. Before the modern church was built services were held in this barn. When the plans were put forward to build the modern church all kinds of amazing synchronicities came about to make it happen. There is an Anglican church in Goring, built in Norman times (but restyled by the meddling Victorians!), and as we know most churches were built on ancient Sacred Sites, so I wonder whether the modern Catholic church is sitting on a power spot?
I certainly felt none of my usual vibrational connection that I get when on a power spot, but that could be due to discomfort on finding myself surrounded by the trappings of Catholicism.
I would like to go back and take a look around outside on my own (we had to book to go in, and were kept a close eye on all the time we were there). There were no Yew trees either! I bet the Anglican church, St. Mary’s has got one!
Anyway, the ceiling and other painted images were impressive.
Today I am going to visit a church in Goring, West Sussex, which has a ceiling painted to look like the Sistine Chapel in Rome. I am not sure if photographing is allowed, but will tell all on my return
REALLY looking forward to teaching Reiki level II at Equilibrium, Lewes on February 24th/March 3rd.
All the students have taken level I with me, so I must be doing something right!
Also in the process of arranging a Youtube video to promote the Celtic Earth Magic workshops. I have been inspired (in other words it has been insisted upon by Spirit) to film it in Kingley Vale, the most magical ancient Yew forest. Dates to be confirmed, and I will be inviting people along, as we will be filming a mock ceremony. SO exciting!
I am looking forward to teaching Reiki level I at Equilibrium, Lewes, East Sussex on Sundays 3rd and 10th February. Also level II on 24th February and 3rd March.
Reiki is a process of self-empowerment, allowing us to heal ourselves physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. It attracts positive vibrations to us, seeking to achieve equilibrium and balance on multiple levels. Reiki also enables us to pass on this life-changing gift to others, which is a great honour and a blessing.
Having Reiki in my life has enhanced it in so many ways, and I have seen huge changes in others, both through hands-on healing, and through teaching it. If you are interested in welcoming Reiki into your life please contact me to discover more about this wonderfully gentle, yet extremely powerful experience..
It was so good to hold my monthly circle last night. Because of the Christmas break the last time we met was the last Wednesday in November. Even though I am the facilitator of the circle I find that spending time in a safe, confidential atmosphere with like-minded friends centres me like nothing else does.
For me, I am constantly observing and listening to the messages that Spirit brings me, especially through the trees, plants, rocks, sea etc. To bring myself back to the human connection is essential, of course, for I AM human!
It’s not the same when I am reading or teaching Tarot, giving healing or sharing my experiences with Earth Magic. When we meet every month within the circle we all share our thoughts, experiences and fears. It feels crucial to be able to do this.
I am so blessed with the work I do, yet it wasn’t that long ago I was working in a very different way, based in a more ruthless world. So I understand how some of my friends welcome the monthly respite from their “other lives”.
Because the festival of Imbolc is upon us this weekend we honoured the fiery Goddess whose festival this is by creating an altar to Brigid. She is a very important Goddess who watches over women, childbirth, poets and artists, and smiths – those creators of alchemy. Her colour is white, and I placed white crystals at the North, for Earth; Water from the well at Glastonbury in the West; a white candle in the South, for Fire. Then I realised I had no white feather to place in the East, for Air! Oh no! What should I do. Then, as ever, inspiration came through so strongly. Of course, my precious knife that I crafted myself from Iron – Earth; Fire to soften the metal; Air in the bellows which gave life to the fire, and Water which set the hot metal.
Blessings to Brigid on her festival, marking the end of Winter, and the beginning of Spring.
Just about to book my ticket for returning to Japan. When I go in April it will still be cherry-blossom time. The cherry-blossom is short-lived, but oh, so beautiful. The cherry tree reminds the Japanese people of the shortness of our time here on Earth, but if we live each day in beauty, reminding ourselves how perfect we are – just as we are – we fulfil our destiny.
I have been thinking about the way we express gratitude in our daily lives. Most of us who wish to live peaceful, authentic lives are aware that acknowledging gratitude on a daily basis expands awareness of the beauty and gifts we have all around us.
But how good are we at showing gratitude to ourselves for the work we do, the compassion we try to show, the patience while listening to others’ pain, kindness to strangers etc. etc.
How does it feel to use the word appreciation instead? To me the word “appreciation” feels more empowering, as we can include ourselves in it, don’t you think? As we are all one, we cause an imbalance if we are less appreciative of ourselves than we are of the gifts we are GIVEN, or SHOWN.
I am going to give it a go. Anyone else’s experiences are welcome. Much love.
